The EasyVax scheduler is manufacturing-brand neutral and has a goal of improving access to all 15 ACIP-recommended adult vaccines in pharmacies.

The benefits and details of EasyVax are:

  • Broad pharmacy choice and no barrier to enrollment for pharmacies
  • An aim to remove challenges and simplify the process for patients by making it easy to use at the time a vaccine recommendation is made
  • Mobile-first and accessible via QR code
  • Open to all providers open to vaccine walk-ins or for scheduling processes

EasyVax Performance to Date
EasyVax referrals – scheduled appointments and pharmacy website clicks – are increasing month-over-month. By vaccine type, the data shows 54% shingles, 18% RSV, 8% flu, and 6% COVID.

It was noted that EasyVax is available for enrollment to all providers who are open to vaccine walk-ins or for appointment scheduling. However, it wouldn’t be appropriate for a provider to be listed in EasyVax (at least as the tool exists today) if that provider isn’t, for example, accepting new patients, or has a requirement for vaccines to be administered as part of a well-visit.

[There was a live demonstration of the website.]

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: How can independent pharmacies link their scheduling service to EasyVax?
L.J Tan (Immunize): There are some pharmacies that have a link to the web appointment scheduling page, as opposed to one of those buttons; that would be the big thing. If you don’t have one of those more sophisticated scheduling systems, I think it would be just to your web page, for an independent pharmacy, where you can schedule.

Q: Is it just adult vaccines?
L.J Tan (Immunize): Yes.
