NAIIS has traditionally dedicated 1 day of the in-person meetings in May to influenza and influenza vaccine recap from the prior year and planning for the upcoming year. However, the National Immunization Conference (NIC) was August 12-14, 2024 this year. And, the in-person NAIIS meeting was moved to August 15-16, 2024 to coordinate with NIC. Both meetings were at the same location in Atlanta, GA.
Given the need for partners to plan for the respiratory virus season well before August, the NAIIS held a series of virtual meetings in May 2024, including two NAIIS webinars May 16 and 23, 2024 and a NAIIS weekly meeting to specifically address RSV prevention and planning.
The 2024 National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit was held on August 15-16, 2024 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia. The National Immunization Conference (NIC) was at the same hotel on August 12-14, 2024.
